My God Steven Balmer is an arrogant bastard.

I hope he chokes on his own words.

The iPhone for a start is not the most expensive phone and secondly it is also the best in many ways.

Its history repeating - Microsoft copying Apple and being desperate to grab market share with 3rd rate products.

Wait wasn’t the iPhone at launch only $200?

And I think being the CEO in Microsoft should mean that he knows MICROSOFT DOESN’T MAKE PHONES. They make they crappy Windows Mobile. And now look, iPhone sells more then all Windows Mobile phone that they didn’t make combined, and people use Android more then Windows Mobile.

Iphone in the only 3G phone without a videocall camera function. Ergo it isn’t a real 3G phone.

He didn’t say “it sucks,” he said that it was a complete joke in the buisness world. Which was true.

Granted, x-box 360 is ahead of PS3, but it is not dominating its market - next gen or otherwise. With a 54% failure hw failure rate (Game Informer), it’s costing Microsoft money. This is their most successful hw venture. Not a good indicator for Zune HD.

I was merely looking back on this and comparing how the competition would’ve anticipated it, little would they know how successful it would actually become for a wide audience, including enterprise people

looking back on it, and making jokes by exaggerating :)

  15. Comment by nowaydudewtf — October 24, 2009 @ 8:41 am

Too bad he never said that. He said that it may actually sell well, just not for enterprise people.

  16. Comment by HJubb — October 24, 2009 @ 5:19 pm

I’m sorry, but people would lie if they said Xbox 360 isn’t the highest rated next gen console, and the most played online. P.S. I have a PS3 and say that, it’s just the truth

  17. Comment by HJubb — October 27, 2009 @ 3:30 pm

LOL iPhone? hahah THAT’LL NEVER SELL! XD who would think that, definately not Balmer :D

Maybe not now, but it won’t be long before all of these will be market leaders.

Balmer, what a monumental bozo, such an embarassment to himself and ms, not that ms needs someone to embarass themselves, they have their software.

Balmer: “We are driving our innovation hard”…ease out there balm, don’t drive that innovation that hard…and above all keep copying apple and you are on a good road…

Microsoft has a problem - they have a salesman at the helm of the company during a period when their product line is stale. They need a technology visionary, not a salesman. Would you invest in Microsoft right now? I would not.

MSN, Silverlight, Soap Box, Bing, Windows Mobile, Zune, PlayForSure and even x-box are not dominant in their respective markets. Most generates monetary loss for Microsoft. What will make Zune HD different?

  22. Comment by Ishidasouken — November 4, 2009 @ 9:08 am

i support confidence in your strengths
but why is he so cocky talk disparagingly ?

  23. Comment by originalrecipes — November 6, 2009 @ 8:22 am

The Zune is the best player and will beat the iPod, Touch, iPhone and will be #1 in the market soon. Zune HD. I know Apple is really scared now. Their about to lose big time.
