i managed to find the file but now it says after i disconnect and do all those steps that there is a problem could it be the firmware im not sure coz i have ver 3.0.1 (z400) iv used iphone1,3.0, 3.0.1 iphone 3g 3.0 3.0.1 it dosent work
Everythng seems to begoing ne for me except for the firmware download where you browse in rdsnow it keeps comming up blank ll the ownload for the sore does anyone have a diect link that can downld the firmwar 3.0 (7a400) so i can getpast this point?

all i did was removed safari and utorrent and used winrar
redsnow dosent take long to download its the firmware which is like 239 mb which take abit coz i have slow internet

I had the same problems while using the firmware that you are supposed to download. I just got stuck at reboot. I changed the file to the one that actually came from iTunes and everything worked fine first go round. The file that these tutorials have you download is iPhone1,1_3.0…. the one in the iTunes folder starts out iPhone1,2_3.0! That’s all I changed and everything is perfect! (redsn0w 0.8)
